who doesn’t love those long summer days that turn into sultry nights? and they are knocking on our door as i type. it’s time to unpack our cotton tees, linen dresses, and seersucker pants. ready for warmer weather but wondering how to update your wardrobe? put a little spring in your step with a few key accessories. it’s the easiest and least expensive way to update your wardrobe. and it’s a great way to stay on trend without breaking the bank.
so what’s trending for summer 2018? today, i’ve picked five key summer accessories to refresh your look.
statement sunglasses
cat eye sunglasses are flattering and on trend. but any old statement sunglasses will do. the sky is the limit as far as price. so i’ve rounded up a few of my favorites from under $50 to waaaay above. the choice is yours.
bold hoops
no jewelry lover should be without a pair of bold hoops. they add instant glamor to any outfit. silver or gold. take your pick.
straw handbag
if i’ve said it once i’ve said it a thousand times. but it bears repeating. nothing beats a straw handbag come summer. nothing.
mellow yellow
yellow is the color this year. think you can’t wear pull this trend off? why not try a bold pattern? or better yet, add yellow shoes, sunnies, earrings, scarf, or handbag into the mix. when in doubt, accessories are always the way to go.

the easiest way to steer clear of the sun is with hatitude. sun hats are resort ready and equal parts luxurious and functional.
