outfit post <vested interest>
starting the week off with a fur vest that belonged to my father. it’s a bit oversized, but i’m loath to part with it as this was the lining to a leather jacket that was one of his favorites. my dad regularly reached for this coat if he was in the mood for a casual weekend look throughout the fall and winter months. he was
a dead ringer for Paul Newman and loved nothing more than stepping out in style. I’ve hung onto this vest for 26 years and counting, and typically layer it underneath a green military jacket for added warmth. but today was such a nice day in san francisco that i decided to let it fly solo over a turtleneck i’ve also had for ages. i’ve heard that turtleneck sweaters are back in style this year, but as far as i’m concerned they never went out.
