The earrings, the bag, the shoes — these are the details that turn an outfit into a look. They’re also the pieces I spend the most time thinking about, probably because they’re the things I genuinely enjoy shopping for. A great earring can do more for your face than almost anything. The right shoe can make your legs look longer. A scarf can solve three problems at once.

Today I’m sharing the pieces I’d reach for this Easter — organized by category so you can go straight to what you need. Mix and match across the posts, link back to my dress post and Kelly’s pants post, and let the accessories do the talking.

What accessories should I wear for Easter over 50?

The strongest Easter accessories for women over 50 are ones that feel celebratory without being costume-y: a pair of statement drop earrings in a spring color, a structured top-handle bag in a neutral or pastel, a kitten heel or block heel in white, nude, or blush, and a silk scarf if you want an elegant layer of color. Think polished and intentional — not matchy-matchy.

What earrings are appropriate for Easter Sunday?

For Easter, you want an earring that reads festive but still feels refined. A pearl drop, a sculptural gold hoop, or a color drop earring in blush, coral, or sage are all excellent choices. The goal is something that draws the eye up toward your face and adds a little celebration to whatever you’re wearing.

What bag should I carry for Easter?

A structured top-handle or crossbody in a neutral — cognac, cream, blush, or black — is the most versatile choice. If your outfit is simple, a pastel or colorful bag can be the statement piece. If your dress or top is the focal point, keep the bag clean and understated.

What shoes work best for Easter brunch or church?

A kitten heel, low block heel, or refined flat is the Easter sweet spot — elegant enough for church, comfortable enough to last through brunch. Nude or white elongates the leg, but a pop of color in a spring shade can be a lovely finishing touch.

Can I wear a scarf as an Easter accessory over 50?

Absolutely — and it’s one of the most sophisticated choices you can make. A silk scarf tied loosely at the neck, knotted on a bag handle, or worn as a headband adds instant elegance and color. It also solves the “it’s cold in church but warm outside” problem beautifully.

Easter Earrings

Easter is the holiday where you earn your statement earring. Whether you’re heading to church, sitting down to brunch, or hosting family at home, a pair of earrings that does something — a pearl drop, a sculptural gold, a pop of spring color — makes the whole outfit feel intentional.

For Easter over 50, my formula is simple: one great earring, and let everything else follow. No necklace required.

Beth’s Style Tip: If you’re wearing a printed dress, keep the earring in one of the colors from the print. If you’re wearing a solid, go bolder — this is your moment.

    Easter Bags

A bag for Easter should be structured enough to look polished but not so precious that you’re worried about it all day. A top-handle or crossbody in a neutral gives you maximum versatility.

If your outfit is neutral or simple, this is where you can bring in color. A pale blue bag, a blush top-handle, a soft green woven clutch — any of these can be the one seasonal moment in an otherwise classic outfit.

Beth’s Style Tip: A woven or raffia bag in a neutral tone bridges the gap perfectly — casual enough for backyard brunch, polished enough for church. It also photographs beautifully in spring light.

    Easter Shoes

The shoe is the detail that surprises — in the best way. For Easter, I lean toward a heel with some practicality: a kitten heel, a low block, a refined slingback. Nothing you’ll regret by noon.

Nude or white keeps the look classic and elongated. But if you want to add color — and I say do it — a spring shoe in coral, sage, pale blue, or lavender is a completely charming move that doesn’t require you to rethink anything else you’re wearing.

✨ Beth’s Style Tip: A nude or blush heel reads “dressed up” without competing with anything. A colorful flat or low heel is the spring flex. Both are correct.

    Easter Scarves

The scarf is the underrated Easter accessory — and I want to make the case for it. A silk scarf worn loosely at the neck, knotted on a bag handle, or tied as a soft headband adds color, elegance, and a layer of warmth for those still-cool April mornings. It’s also the most versatile thing in the edit: one scarf, six ways to wear it.

This is especially useful if your Easter outfit is neutral — a print scarf in spring colors does the heavy lifting while your clothing stays simple.

Beth’s Style Tip: Tie a silk scarf to your bag handle instead of wearing it — it adds movement and color without any effort, and it reads as very chic, very French, very intentional.

Closing Thoughts – Easter Accessories Over 50

Woman over 50 with silver hair walking a stone garden path in spring, wearing a tropical print shift dress with palm trees and zebras in green, blue, and pink tones, layered under a neutral linen blazer. She carries a structured taupe Tory Burch shoulder bag with gold hardware and wears nude sandals, a pearl and gold layered necklace, and gold hoop earrings — a polished Easter accessories look for women over 50.

You don’t need all of this — you need one or two pieces that pull your look together and make you feel like yourself when you walk out the door. Start with the earrings. The rest will follow.
