Happy Friday, gang! And Merry Christmas! I’m certain everyone is in overdrive, like me, pulling the last-minute details together for the big day! I’m 90% ready for our White Elephant gift exchange on Christmas Eve. For the past thirty years, I’ve served charcuterie boards for Christmas Eve, then switched gears for Christmas Brunch with our favorite casseroles from Skiers French Toast, Sausage Egg Casserole, and a Chocolate Chip Coffee Cake. Oh, and I can’t forget lox and bagel, along with a Bloody Mary and Mimosa Bar, where guests can serve themselves. Read that post here. Nothing fancy, just family favorites year after year. Kelly and I are feeling festive in our plaid pants. One of my readers on YouTube recently questioned the longevity of plaid pants, which made me stop and think. But I’ve had at least one pair of plaid pants hanging in my closet for years and years. Obviously, they’re the perfect choice for the holiday season, but I wear mine well before and long after Christmas has come and gone. I guess you’d say I’m mad for Plaid! This pair of plaid pants came along with me to Europe with a gray sweater and white sneakers. Today, I chose a yellow cashmere crewneck and white shirt to add a casual chic flair. And y’all know what I think about red shoes. Every woman should own at least one pair! I love these red velvet shoes from Frances Valentine that I wear every chance I get all through fall and winter. Honestly, they go with so many outfits and add that little extra something!

These festive tartan pants are from J.Crew, last year. But, at Christmastime, there is no shortage of tartan pants! Talbots has a great version with their Celebrating Plaid Pants. With such eye-catching pants, a simple white Mockneck Crop Sweater works very well to not overwhelm the outfit.

With the addition of cranberry juice, we gave our favorite summertime Aperol spritz a holiday makeover. Garnish with a rosemary sprig for an extra festive touch.
