Happy Friday, gang! We’re kicking off the weekend with a yummy appetizer perfect for the Super Bowl! It’s hard to believe the football season is finally over! The Big Game on Sunday night should be good, and I’m honestly rooting for both teams. It’s a great matchup. The experts favor The Chiefs over the 49ers, with predicted scores of 27-24 or 27-21. Yep, the game most likely will come down to the last play. AJ and Kelly are hosting a Super Bowl party, so I’m headed to their house to watch the game, cheer, and munch on snackos.
Saturday, February 10th, is the release of the first episode of Message from Mom, a podcast that busts the myth that mothers-in-law aren’t monsters-in-law! My co-hosts are my daughters-in-law Kelly and Chelsea, and I have to admit we’re having lots of fun putting together different topics and then chatting about them. We’re kicking off the series by discussing Valentine’s Day and romance! You can find us on YouTube - Message from Mom be sure to subscribe to the channel to get notified of each new weekly episode.

We are making a great Super Bowl Snack and an easy cocktail, perfect for game day
(J.Crew)
Today’s ootd is perfect for game day, no matter what team I root for since I’m wearing red. My sweater days are short, so I reached for a red cashmere crewneck sweater layered over a white button-down and paired with wide-leg sailor jeans. Red shoes (old, similar here) are the finishing touch. If you don’t own a pair of red shoes, I highly recommend you add one to your wardrobe.

I am rooting for the Niners in Super Bowl 58, I grew up with the 49ers, Joe Montana was the quarterback when I was a kid. I only recently decided to learn about football so that I could actually enjoy the games. My husband is patient with all my dumb questions about sports rules. I have to say I pick up the details pretty quick, and it does make watching the games much more enjoyable!

Since Valentine's Day is this coming week, I couldn't resist wearing this Heart Tee, and because I am rooting for the Niners, it works out! I have been wearing these High Rise Cheeky Straight Jeans a lot lately and it's because I love the fit and they are so comfortable. They're just a classic jean at a great price from Gap.

Ranch Water is a Texas-style tequila highball cocktail. It's a super simple, thirst-quenching cocktail, perfect for game day!
These sliders flew off the table, I might should make a double batch for our Super Bowl party on Sunday! It's hard to beat the delicious combination of pastrami, Swiss and dill pickles with mustard. I think what sets these sliders apart though is the butter and onions we drizzle over the tops before baking. Don't skip that step, it's a real game-changer!
Oscar, Ollie, Kelly, and I wish you a lovely weekend.

I’ve often considered adding red shoes to my capsule wardrobe. They would add a pop of fun! Enjoy the superbowl! I’m a fan of both as well, but I have so many fond memories of the Joe Montana days! I’ll be serving up nachos for us!
Hi Nancy – Go Niners! (and ditto on the Joe Montana days.) Nachos are a perfect Super Bowl snack. Enjoy the game! xo Kelly
I just subscribed to Message from Mom! What a great idea! I’ve enjoyed the videos that you and Beth have done before, so I’m looking forward to these! I’m loving these recipes, btw. 🙂 Thank you!
Love both outfits! What about substituting turkey for pastrami? Hi Oscar…hugs❤️ Go 49ers!
Kelly, your sliders look phenomenal! I’m trying them. Hi to Oscar and Ollie (Oscar overlooking the yard)! Nice styling too. Gap is a great place for jeans; thanks for the reminder. Since Detroit (my hometown) is out, I can relax and enjoy. I’ll root for the 49ers for ya’ll!
