it’s friday! and it’s once more around the block with oscar before my wheels are up. i’m off to nyc. and i’ve just been informed there will be front row seats at the book of mormon! preceded by a steak dinner. i am from nebraska after all, so it’s only fitting. besides, my kiddos know i’m partial to a juicy steak and baked potato with butter and sour cream. growing up, there were a string of steak houses located on 72nd street that my family regularly frequented. these were very old school establishments where the wait staff might have outdated the building. but boy oh boy could they hustle and sling those steaks out to a packed house every night. because if you were traveling to omaha on business the first stop on your agenda was a visit to a local steak house. i’m certain nyc might be up to the challenge of a first class joint. my mouth is watering as i type. oscar is staying behind in athens with mr. style by his side. be good buddy! for my road trip my trusty blue jeans are on along with a militaryesque jacket to beat the chill of frigid airports and planes. there’s a pop of pattern coming into play with my silk shirt. slip on suede booties finish off my ootd so i can scamper through those security lines with ease. but my bags are packed and i’m ready to go. ’cause i’m leavin’ on a jet plane…
oscar and i wish each of you a lovely weekend wherever you are!

What a nice, feminine line to this jacket! Yes! you will be glad you have it on flights–I just got back from visiting my son in Boston, and was very glad I had a jacket and a few sweaters along for the trip. Oscar will miss you.
Have a fabulous time in the Big Apple! I grew up less than an hour from Manhattan, so I spent much of my life in and out of the city. I still get nostalgic when I go back. BOM is hilarious–you’ll enjoy it. Front row seats! Fabulous!
Have a great trip! You look the part. I look forward to visiting NYC as an adult. đ gwingal
Enjoy your trip! xoxo
This is really fancy version of a friday with oscar! đ
