fridays with oscar
why is it that the shortest weeks always take the longest? i don’t know about you, but i am tuckered out and more than ready to usher friday in with open arms. oscar, of course, is oblivious to the concept of tired so off we go for a spin around town before i walk into the weekend with a little prep to my step.
isn’t this an adorable sweater? polka dots are always on trend (like stripes) and just scream preppy. but i especially like the subtle pink trim around the neckline. come spring i can see a striped shirt tucked underneath. but for now, it’s perfectly fine flying solo. or tucked under a white jacket as in today’s ootd.
during my teen years, my bedroom was decorated in pink and green. one wall was plastered in paisley wallpaper. while a green and white gingham comforter stood sentry to a four poster bed. if memory serves me correctly my bed sheets were also paisley. which goes to show pattern mixing might not be such a recent craze.
anyhoo, my jacks are back in action (didn’t i warn you they would be on summer repeat!) and a pair of prepilicious pink bermudas. if shorts aren’t your thing exchange for a pair of white denim, cropped pants, or skirt. lot’s of choices out there.
TGIF, ladies! it couldn’t come quick enough this week. oscar and i wish each of you a lovely weekend.

Fun preppy outfit! I would probably opt for capris or a skirt. The Jacks were a good purchase. Yes, why do the short weeks seem so long? Enjoy your weekend…going to be nice weather here…no rain…yay! xoxo P.S. Is Oscar still in the doghouse?
oscar is out of the doghouse. although, according to him he was never in it. not one ounce of remorse…
