Cruising Through Summer
Happy Friday, ladies! Where did the week disappear to? Today is the last Friday in July. Yep, Memorial Day and Fourth of July have flown by at record speed. We are cruising through summer! Next Friday, gulp, August will be in full swing. August is a jam-packed month. We celebrate not one but FOUR birthdays in the space of five days, and yours truly is headed on a Mediterranean Cruise on the 21st. It starts in Venice, Italy, and winds up in Athens, Greece. Stay tuned to all things Cruising!
I absolutely love, love, love today’s recipe. The chickpea-herb flatbread is the perfect summer meal. It’s nutritious and delicious! And the Dirty Monte has a nice twist.

Y’all know I slip into a very casual outfit to kick off the weekend. How cute are these pinstripe shorts that can be dressed up or down. Today, I paired it with a linen button-up and added a raffia belt (old, similar here and here). Raffia sandals are from Eileen Fisher who makes some of the most comfortable shoes I own.

Rumpled Satin Blouse
Today I am pairing one of my favorite summer tops, the Rumpled Satin Blouse (on sale right now at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale!) with the pull-on Linen Blend Easy Shorts from Banana Republic Factory. I have these shorts in a few different colors and patterns, but this flax-colored version goes with everything! Like Beth’s sandals, the Lee Espadrille Flats are also from Eileen Fisher. I have a few of the Lee Espadrilles and this new raffia version is great for summer.

The Dirty Monte is like a combination of a spritz and a dirty martini. It's light and refreshing with a savory twist – olive brine. This is definitely a cocktail for those who enjoy a savory libation.
