it’s throwback thursday so what better time to share a blast from my past. besides, guess who arrived at 2:00 am this morning from minneapolis? so if you don’t mind, i’m sleeping in today. and it’s been awhile since i’ve posted a photo from by-gone years. my tumblr followers will remember i regularly posted a tbt in my early days of blogging. so indulge me while we briefly walk down memory lane together and catch a glimpse of my fashion evolution. even as a young girl i was influenced by clothes. i wore dresses trimmed in rickrack, and coats with a nautical influence. it appears i’ve loved hats since forever. and a good handbag. my hairstyle changed frequently. long hair, short hair, dark hair, and light. i’ve always liked a splash of color. and, apparently, white socks. a pair of pointy-toed flats named mary jane had a place in my closet. as well as a plaid pant suit. white eyelet or thai silk were fabrics of choice and draped in simple lines. i’ve always liked pearls, and pink lipstick. i guess some things never really change…oh my, but it’s fun to travel back in time, and watch your fashion sense evolve. so go on, take a moment today from your busy schedule, and pull out a few of your own oldies. and share.

The flight sounds like a familiar scenario–rest up!
Your photos are great–so reminiscent of all of us during these periods. The plaid suit brought a big smile: we all have at least a few “who shot the couch?” moments. My brother unearthed a few photos of my sisters and I in what I called “fat dresses,” complete with white pinafores over them, and his caption under the photo was “Ed and his sister-wives: my sisters sporting the Warren Jessup look.”
