  1. Cynthia Willis says:

My husband and I are both Aggies, albeit different alma maters. I attended NMSU, and he attended TAMU. We now live in College Station, and indeed football in SEC country is a religion!

  2. Suzi says:

    ROLL TIDE ROLL!
Love the casual outfit, yes in Georgia, we still have to contend with the heat for a while.

  3. Chris Illius says:

Beautiful as always Beth! Liking the outfit and the food of course!! I love your glasses – can you tell me who’s they are?

    • Angela Kersenbrock says:

Floridians for the Cornhuskers. Love your post Beth, my sisters and I all follow you.

      • Laura Wenger says:

I’ve followed you for a few years Beth, and had no idea you were an Iowan! Much of my family are Hawkeyes – my Dad was a sports commentator in Iowa City broadcasting Hawks games in the 50s. Guess I was the rebel attending a Big 8 school. Cyclone fan forever true!! I’ll be thinking of you on 9/14 when we battle Iowa in Ames. GO ISU!

    • Beth Djalali says:

hi chris! the glasses are Gucci. xo

  4. Donna Beckmann says:

Your makeup look exceptionally becoming in these photos! We live in Idaho, but being raised in MO made us Cardinalfans for life; even when they move to AR! (This is WorldSeries season for us. Go Cardinals!!)

  5. BamaCarol says:

Roll Tide! I actually went to Southern Mississippi and root for them but when I moved to Alabama, I had to choose an Alabama team and chose wisely – my husband is also an Alabama fan. Love this time of year not only for the weather but also for the start of football season. Still rooting for the Atlanta Braves too!

  6. Beverly M Labosky says:

When we moved to Alabama 26 years ago, our first friends told us we HAD to pick our team immediately — either Auburn or Alabama. Since we were a military family with ties to the ACC (husband is a Wake Forest grad), we chose their team – Auburn! We really fell in love with Auburn as our daughter was in high school and attended choir and dance team events there. She graduated from Auburn and we have embraced Auburn IS family! Their 5 year old also loves his Auburn Tigers and usually mentions them every night during his prayer time. Auburn had an amazing sports year this past year and after the game this past weekend, we know that this year will be great also. So it’s a WAR EAGLE from us!

  7. Chris says:

Dawgs for the win! We love tailgating in Athens and I have added the meatballs to my TG file for this season. Hope to see you on the streets of Athens during the coming weekends!

  8. Cheryl Johnson says:

Ole Miss here! Hotty Toddy, Beth!

  9. Julie Smart says:

Haha Beth! Your post had me laughing. I grew up in a small Iowa town (10 miles from Omaha) near the Missouri River. I also went to the University of Iowa (Go Hawks!!) but have married a Nebraska guy and have been indoctrinated into the Cornhusker craziness!!!
I wear half Red and half black/gold on game days LOL!
In all seriousness I finished 7 months of chemo and had a huge surgery to remove my tumor this past December. Your blog brightened my spirits and gave me something to look forward to when I was feeling low.
Now it’s my charge to pray for you and your family…

  10. Donna G says:

Since my nieces are either alumni or currently in Tallahassee, it’s Go Noles around here! Growing up, though, it was Hook ‘Em Horns! But even though it jeopardizes my card-carrying Southerner status, I don’t care for football at all.

  11. Janelle says:

Hi Beth! You can bet college football is BIG in Texas. We’re TCU fans here in Brenham, but love watching all the SEC games, too. Thanks for the game food and drink recipes. Just what I need this weekend!

  12. Karen says:

Big 10 Football! Michigan State University! I am the third generation to have attended. Football week ends a religion, as cousins on the Team and Marching Bands Go green and white!

  13. Suzanne says:

Love tzatziki sauce, and the meatballs sound good. I’ll have to save this recipe and give them a try. Did you like the lamb? Enjoy the games! This time of year it’s all about football. Then, it’s on to basketball…never ends! Happy weekend!

  18. Sheryl says:

I had to chuckle, I grew up in Oklahoma, in the days of ou and Barry switzers dominance….I relocated to North Carolina in the 80s and was told I had to pick a team, only it was basketball they were talking about…total culture shock!

  19. susan lambert says:

Mississippi State Bulldog family! Love me some SEC!!!

  20. Janis Campbell says:

I can relate! I grew up in West Texas where the University of Texas was king. My family moved to Arkansas in 1967 and I’m an avid Arkansas Razorback fan now. We’re rebuilding with a new Coach in football and basketball. So for me it’s GO HOGS!
