Makes: 2 Cocktails

Ingredients:

  • 4 oz vodka
  • 2 oz espresso or strong coffee cooled
  • 2 oz coffee liqueur like Kahlúa
  • 1 oz pumpkin spice syrup store-bought or homemade
  • Ice
  • Ground cinnamon or three espresso beans for garnish

Instructions:

  • Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.
  • Add vodka, espresso, coffee liqueur, and pumpkin spice syrup.
  • Shake vigorously until the outside of the shaker is frosty.
  • Strain into a chilled martini glass.
  • Garnish with cinnamon or espresso beans.

Tips/Notes

To make your own pumpkin spice syrup:

Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup brown sugar (light or dark — dark gives deeper flavor)
  • 2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional for extra warmth)
  • ½ teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Combine: In a small saucepan, whisk together the water, brown sugar, pumpkin pie spice, and cinnamon.
  2. Simmer: Bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar dissolves completely — about 5 minutes.
  3. Add Vanilla: Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Cool and Store: Let the syrup cool completely, then transfer to a glass jar or airtight bottle. Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
