To make your own pumpkin spice syrup:
Ingredients
-
1 cup water
-
1 cup brown sugar (light or dark — dark gives deeper flavor)
-
2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
-
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional for extra warmth)
-
½ teaspoon pure vanilla extract
Instructions
-
Combine: In a small saucepan, whisk together the water, brown sugar, pumpkin pie spice, and cinnamon.
-
Simmer: Bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar dissolves completely — about 5 minutes.
-
Add Vanilla: Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
-
Cool and Store: Let the syrup cool completely, then transfer to a glass jar or airtight bottle. Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
