Fresh & Festive Caprese Sliders

These little sandwiches are as festive as they are flavorful—fresh, colorful, and perfect for a crowd.

Ingredients:

  • 12 slider buns or Hawaiian rolls
  • 2 large ripe tomatoes sliced
  • 12 slices fresh mozzarella
  • Fresh basil leaves
  • Balsamic glaze store-bought or homemade
  • Olive oil
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Instructions:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Slice the slider buns in half horizontally (keeping the top and bottom halves intact). Place the bottom half on a baking sheet. Brush the cut halves with olive oil.
  • Toast both halves under the broiler until lightly golden. (The toasting will help keep the rolls from getting soggy.)
  • Layer with mozzarella slices, then tomatoes, then fresh basil.
  • Drizzle lightly with olive oil and a touch of balsamic glaze. Add a sprinkle of salt and pepper.
  • Top with the other half of the buns. Brush the tops lightly with olive oil.
  • Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the cheese is warm and slightly melted.
  • Finish with a final drizzle of balsamic glaze just before serving.
