Preheat oven to 350°F.
Slice the slider buns in half horizontally (keeping the top and bottom halves intact). Place the bottom half on a baking sheet. Brush the cut halves with olive oil.
Toast both halves under the broiler until lightly golden. (The toasting will help keep the rolls from getting soggy.)
Layer with mozzarella slices, then tomatoes, then fresh basil.
Drizzle lightly with olive oil and a touch of balsamic glaze. Add a sprinkle of salt and pepper.
Top with the other half of the buns. Brush the tops lightly with olive oil.
Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the cheese is warm and slightly melted.
Finish with a final drizzle of balsamic glaze just before serving.
