  1. This guide is so comprehensive. Like the best denim Styling guide I have ever seen. I tried to click through your widgets for a few items (skirts) and I took me to pinterest to pin the item versus taking me to the item?

i’m happy you found this post helpful! the widget can be finicky but hover over the brand name and click. that will take you to the website.

Would you please comment on wearing different shades of denim together? Any rules? Thanks!!!

    • beth djalali says:

the most flattering way to go is with a darker rinse on the bottom lighter rinse on top. but there are no hard and fast rules. if there were i probably wouldn’t follow them anyway!

I have to ask. Where did you get that fabulous navy blazer in the first picture? Also, those wide legged frayed jeans in pics 7 and 8. I’ve seen that HOME tee shirt before and loved it but thought I was too old to wear it. Picking one up now. Love these looks and such a very valuable post for us older gals. Really, this post could not have come at a better time!

    • beth djalali says:

hi lisa! the navy blazer is a J.Crew a tipped schoolboy blazer in linen. They typically trot this version out in the summer. Isn’t the HOME tee adorable? love the tee and the company! the wide leg frayed jeans in pic 7 is Point Sur at J.Crew 2016/2017. but i have seen similar jeans available. pic 8 frayed jeans are Old Navy 2016ish too.
      hope this helps!
