the sunday brief | 10 winter wardrobe staples

if it’s winter then it’s time to bundle up. but there’s no need to sacrifice style the next few months just because the wind is blowing. today, i’ve rounded up ten winter wardrobe staples that will keep you on your style game all winter long.

boots – short, tall, and otk boots are essential winter footwear. wear them with dresses or skirts for work. or pair with skinny jeans for a chic weekend look.

tights – it’s a blue moon when i wear hosiery of any type. but when it’s cold outside i don’t mind adding a pair of tights for warmth. try a pattern for a little extrra style. my favorite brands? commando, DKNY, wolford, and spanxx for added shapewear.

sweaters – cashmere, merino wool, chunky turtleneck are perfect cold weather layers. look for natural fibers as blends tend to pill.

hats – last but not least don’t forget to wear a hat when you head out the door during the winter months. a beanie or wide-brimmed wool hat is long on style and keeps you warm.
