Thanks for the nutrition information. I will be making this chili in the future.

  2. Dawn Reese says:

Our fall tradition is chili on Halloween along with cornbread. I whip up my cornbread from a recipe I found 30 yrs ago and my husband raves over it. I love playing with food so my chili recipe is never the same. Thank you for your recipe. Love your posts!

I’m so happy to see another beer girl out there. There are so many great craft beers these days. I love to have a beermosa – a light beer & orange juice. Cheers!

Hi Beth, it’s our wedding anniversary today, but we are eating in, Chinese crispy duck and pancakes with chili sauce and cucumber and chocolate cake for dessert. A Negroni might be on the list as well. Wishing you, Oscar and Ollie a lovely weekend xoxo

Great looking outfit and great looking meal! I like Creature Comforts, also, and look for it when I am in Georgia.

  6. Anon says:

    Thanks, Beth.

I cooked up some dry navy beans using the Instant Pot, and now I’m cooking them in the sauce. It’s a two-step process, but it works. I might never need to buy canned beans again.

I thought I didn’t need this in little appliance, but it’s getting a lot of use.

Wonderful post! Love the close ups of Oscar! You look marvelous. Love stripes, too! Everything today draws me in because of its Fall connection. You enjoy your down time this weekend! Hugs!~

  8. Nancy says:

Can’t rate the recipe because I didn’t try it. I may be the only one who never bought an Instant Pot. They were everywhere last year, but I didn’t bite. You’ve got me thinking about it again. The recipe looks yummy and you have it all set up so prettily.
Love your outfit too. It’s just right. You look put together, but still casual and comfortable. Love it! The shoes look perfect with it too.
This is a “down” weekend for me too. We’re having a new heater installed today, so I had to clear out the basement for it, so most of the weekend will be spent getting things back together. I love organizing though, so I’m looking forward to it!
Thanks for the great post! Have a great weekend!

  9. Bonnie Abrams says:

Love your outfit, Beth, especially the sweater. But most of all thank you for the great pics of Oscar. He is such a handsome dude!

I absolutely love your classy outfit – you look great.I’m looking forward to making the Chili recipe too, even though we are going through a heat wave here in Queensland, Australia at the moment.Thank you for brightening my day!

Great ootd to start your week end at home. Those are the best after being away!!!
Favorite cornbread – Krusteaz Honey Cornbread mix.
Started my week end by going to water aerobics. A fun way to get a total body workout with cardio.
Finally some cooler weather in SC. Planning on enjoying my screened porch, watch some college football, and finishing my fall decorating.
Beth, I hope by now you have repotted the mums I saw on your front porch just

week. They looked like they were still in
the container from the garden center. Roots will probably need some room to spread out. I get my gardening info from “Southern Living”. I am sure you are familiar with this great publication since you now live in GA.
    Have a wonderful week end!!

I really love the pants and I’m always a driving moc kind of gal (have a gorgeous orange pair which would look great with your OOTD).
As to weekend – on the coast here in Australia in the little beach cottage that is our heart-home. Masses of admin to accomplish ahead of a book release. OOTD for me is leggings, zip-up sports top and runners because dog expects a long walk any minute. Cheers and have a good weekend.

  13. Katherine Allan says:

    Hi Beth,
    You look great.
I was sharing your fur baby Oscar
with my husband and we were discussing the breed. Is Oscar a Alsatian or a German Shepard?
We had two cats Romeo and Juliet. Both were pure breeds, Birmans. They are both in “cat heaven.” Miss them dearly. Romeo lived for 19 years.
    Have a wonderful weekend.

  14. Pam says:

I am going to meet my newest granddaughter. I’ve seen pictures, and she’s a beautiful baby. Now I just have to go pick something out for her to wear. And I’m going to see the rest of the grandkids. My daughter and son-in-law just had the sixth child. I’m hoping they stop after this one. But I’ve said that before.

  15. BJ Barnes says:

do you mind me asking you what size you bought for the Mariner Stripe Banana Republic sweater?
