One Last Summer Dress
Happy Thursday! Earlier in the week, Beth shared that Style at a Certain Age is on Vacation next week. So today I am sharing One Last Summer Dress before we come back from vacation and shift into fall fashion. I have said before that we experience summer-like temps here until October, so you may still see a few transition outfits from me through September. But today, I am hanging on to every last bit of summer!

Palm Print Shirt Dress
I am pretty much in love with this dress. This Alice+Olivia Tamala Printed Mini Dress was a very recent purchase from Saks Fifth Avenue, from the Designer Sale. This is a sale I pay attention to as they continue to increase the percentage off of designer items through the waning days of summer. Currently the sale is up to 70% off designer items.
So I was perusing the sale pages online, doing a bit of a deep dive, and I came upon this Alice + Olivia dress. It has everything I love about a summer dress. Bold print? Check! It’s a shirtdress style with a pleated skirt, meant to be a mini, but it’s not petite so it falls comfortably above my knee, rather than high on the thigh. It’s not meant to have a tight fit, which makes it easy and breezy in the summer heat.
I absolutely love the vibrant greens of this palm print. It’s so summery, tropical and perfect for our upcoming vacation. The fabric is a viscose/linen combination. The dress is machine washable too, which is a really nice bonus.
Metallic Accessories
Metallic accessories are my go-to this summer. So easy to pair with the vibrant prints I love to wear. I have gone with gold a lot lately, so today I am mixing it up with mirror silver. The Fisherman Lugsole Sandals in Metallic Leather are from last summer, but J.Crew has them, this summer, in gold. So if you go that route, consider pairing the ensemble with the Berkeley Bucket Bag in Gold.
Metallics aren’t just trending this summer, look to wear these easy-to-match accessories all fall and winter. In fact, metallics are the new neutral, just like animal print.
I have never been much into wearing jewelry, but I am giving it a go… Today I am wearing a minimalistic necklace from Lagos, the Silver Beaded Caviar Necklace. This was a gift from Beth years ago and I am quite happy to have it be the start of my jewelry collection!

I’m with you…holding onto summer as long as possible, so I appreciate that you’re still showing summer fashions.
I would love to see an alternative silver shoe style. Love the silver, but don’t wear that style shoe.
