What’s trending in 2023 with denim? Patchwork jeans! And I do love wearing denim this time of year. Once summer temps soar I ditch my denim jeans in favor of denim shorts, skirts, and dresses. But all the other months of the year I’m a blue jean mama through and through.
Since I regularly reach for denim I have several different styles to choose from. For a fun take on denim that’s also on trend, I’m loving patchwork jeans from my all-time favorite designer Ralph Lauren.

Today, I’m sporting a twill utility jacket from Talbots that’s the perfect third layer for spring. The neutral color pairs perfectly with an ivory sweater shell from Ann Taylor that matches the patchwork jeans.
Patent leather loafers from Sam Edelman add a preppy tone to the outfit and a peppled leather hobo handbag from J.McLaughlin is casual yet polished. Just what this casual chic outfit needs!

Hi! Beth! These are no ordinary patchwork jeans! I just love them and think I could wear them even though I’m 80 yrs but apparently don’t look my age. What would you suggest?
Age has nothing to do with style, so if you love it, you’ll love wearing it.
Would love the outfit if it was regular white jeans, I don’t care for the patchwork jeans at all. Sorry this is not a trend I would do, but would wear this outfit with regular white jeans so gives me another outfit choice.
