Thanks for this post, Beth! Everything looks fresh and springy, and I especially enjoyed the part about denim, since I wear mostly jeans — dressed up or down. Speaking of jeans, I hear that skinny jeans are totally out, out, out. (I wonder if the same is true for black leggings??)
Anyway, I’ve struggled with styling the new wider crop jeans (and other super-wide pants, no matter what the length). I feel like I need a whole new shoe wardrobe and shorter (crop) tops to make these pants work for me.

Don’t listen to negative comments. Jealousy is a terrible thing. I am 75 and I think that you are doing just fine.

  3. RORY says:

LOVE your pops of color. Now that I have let my hair go natural, white, I feel I need more color.
    Thanks for the inspiration.

I am saddened that people feel the need to criticize you. Yours is the first blog I started following when I discovered such things existed and your advice has been invaluable over the years. Yes, you might show some clothing that doesn’t fit my lifestyle or personal taste but that is what makes us different. However, sometimes that can encourage me to move out of my comfort zone which is no bad thing. Keep up your excellent work and ignore the negative Nellie’s!

I love your posts and your classic style!! I almost never take the time to comment,
but other people’s words astound me! It would never occur to me that your skirts are too long or too short; you always look fantastic! Age appropriate? Bah! Sometimes it’s not about age at all. I’m a 40-something teacher who loves to dress professionally! I aspire to look as confident and classy as you do!! Thanks so much for all the inspiration!!!
