You always look lovely. I would like to see more slim leg pants in your posts.

  2. Mary says:

    Hi Beth,
Thanks for today’s post especially because I do not know the definition of boyfriend jeans. Can you please specifically describe them?

    Happy Friday!

  3. Really like the stripped sweater from Banana Republic. The weather has been like that here also. Need a light sweater or 3rd layer, blazer, etc.
The Cajun shrimp sounds yummy. Say hi to Oscar and Ollie for me.

  4. Birgitta says:

I look forward every day to what you have decided to share with us. Fridays with Oscar are my favorite posts no matter what you are showing! Love the love in his eyes when he looks at you.
I have never written a “fan”letter before but you deserve my first. You and Oscar!

  5. Patty says:

This snack looks delicious! What kind of cheese did you sprinkle on top? Love your blog!

    • Beth Djalali says:

hi patty! i actually mixed up this week’s recipes and next week… long week. but the cheese is queso fresco and the shrimp is (obviously) layered on a tortilla chip instead of a cucumber.

I love a Breton style sweater, jeans and espadrilles for a casual weekend look. I just can’t embrace the boyfriend trend. The proportions are so unflattering on my body. High rise straight leg jeans – will go for what works for my body over what trends. Chicken soup weather for us today

  7. Gay says:

Your entire post today is up my alley, from the jeans and sweater look to the cocktail….also your daily look is cute too…have a great weekend!

  8. Manda says:

I like today’s & the Daily Looks outfits. Thanks for reintroducing me to Banana Republic & Nordstroms. Two places I have enjoyed going to but seem unable to find anything I like online. I am definitely trying both the drink & dish! Hope you have a lovely weekend & thanks again 🙂

  9. Maeve says:

Good jeans for working in the garden as I’m doing today, but why? I don’t get the whole ‘pay top dollar for ripped clothing’ concept. This is not fashion; it’s artifice.

    • Beth Djalali says:

ha ha! these jeans won’t be gardening with me but they will go out to dinner. as a matter of fact, they already have! isn’t it funny how style perspectives come into play? and, yes, these jeans are considered fashionable. if distressed jeans aren’t your “thing” totally fine. but quite a few women love having a pair of jeans with personality, including me. fashion is but one way we stay modern, fresh, and relevant.

  10. Carol says:

My husband and I love the cocktail today! I have always loved having a signature cocktail for a holiday, but we needed one tonight, here in The Villages. We embrace your Friday night vibe!

  11. Carolina Girl says:

Hooray, it’s Oscar day! The shrimp recipe looks fab. The cocktail too. I am a fan of Kut from the Kloth (bought at Orvis) so will look into these. 90+% of my wardrobe is Talbots, but that brand of jeans is special. They look great on you, Beth.

  12. Lissa says:

Beth, you show Tito’s in the pic but the recipe calls for gin. In the new website format, there are large blank spots between some segments, like there’s a missing narrative – did you explain and it didn’t show up on mine for some reason? Thanks for all the great content!

    • Beth Djalali says:

i actually mixed up next week’s recipes with this week… long week. if you’re in doubt there’s always a recipe card you can pin or print. hope this helps!

  13. Susan says:

Thanks for the recipes. Drink was good, but I liked it even better with 1.5 oz of club soda to give it some fizz. Happy Spring.
