San Francisco is one of a kind. I used to love to walk up to Grace Cathedral and then quietly do the maze inside. So serene. I’d see all the folks gathered outside doing tai chi and getting their zen on. I never could understand how folks can drive up and down those crazy hills, though. This wuss left my stomach behind many times. And Palo Alto–I could browse those streets forever, and Stanford is such a gorgeous campus. Sounds like a great trip.

we used to live right by Grace Cathedral! and spent many an afternoon at the park right across the street. needless to say we had a ball this weekend traipsing around the Bay.

Great to be able to “tag along” on your trip to San Francisco. Been a long time since I visited. Love the outfit … already added the t-shirt and cardigan to my Nordstrom wish list! I hope the tee shirt fits. I’m a bit thick for J. Crew sizing. 🙁

The dome building in your photo is actually is the Palace of Fine Arts in the Marina. The Legion of Honor is in Golden Gate Park. I am a Georgia native that’s been exiled to the SF Bay Area for 20 years. I never tire of visits to the city, she has a vibe all her own and there’s so much to see and do here. I just found you a few weeks ago, you have inspired me to let my gray grow out!

    • beth djalali says:

thanks for the correction, sarah! it is indeed the Palace of Fine Arts building. oh boy! but i’m so happy you found the blog. you’ll love not having to zip into the hairdresser for a root touch up. going au natural saves so much time.

  6. Fun visiting SF with you. Because of the broken bone in my foot I can’t travel for a while. So it was fun traveling with you. I can’t believe that guy with 200 dogs. I’ve taken my grandkids to the zoo which is right by the ocean and experienced that freezing cold weather.

    • beth djalali says:

get better soon Miss Sandra! i had to add the picture of the dog walker. it was insane watching him walk down the street with that happy pack of dogs. and he did it like it was nothing. some people have trouble maintaining one dog on a leash let alone fifteen or sixteen.
