Hello, Happy Thursday! I know Halloween hasn’t even arrived yet, but I already feel like the holiday season is upon us. Whether it’s a date night or an evening out with friends, I am always glad to have a few separates in my closet that add that little something extra. It can be the cut of a top, an interesting material, or maybe a bold color or print…I love a fun pattern or printed pair of pants – especially if it’s a night out, so today I am sharing a Petite Fall Outfit for a Night Out (but it also works great for a day at the office!)

I know I have said it here before, but Ann Taylor does a great job with their petite sizing, especially when it comes to pants. I have yet to return a pair of pants from Ann Taylor due to the petite sizing. These Petite Eva High Rise Ankle Pant in Houndstooth are fun for me because of the print, but mostly because of the color combination. Two of the hottest color trends for fall are plum and lavender and I love how this houndstooth print stitches them together.

With these pants you can coordinate colors with your top, opting for a plum-colored sweater or blouse. You can also go the route I took and go with black. And then, just because I like to add that little extra pop of fun, I am wearing my two-tone loafers. These are from last year, but there are two similar versions: The Vernon Loafer from Madewell, or the coin loafers from J.Crew. Then if it gets chilly, I have my Washed Motorcycle Jacket because it’s an easy option. And because it’s a date night, I have my Saint Laurent Small Loulou Shoulder Bag.
