Happy Wednesday, ladies! Many of you know I started a dating series on Instagram where I dish out dating advice and tips on what to wear. It can be nerve-wracking going on a first date whether you’re 25, 45, or 65, so it’s nice to have several outfits on hand to take away a bit of stress and a few conversation starters. Just because I’m single and going on dates doesn’t mean all my happily married friends can’t wear a lovely outfit and hit the town in style with the hubs. Dating should never stop. As a matter of fact, I know your main squeeze would truly appreciate the time and effort you put into your relationship. Dating is a lifelong experience and is the main ingredient to a happy and successful marriage and relationship. So today, I am sharing Five Date Night Outfits.

Several weeks ago, I shared that 30% of the over-50 demographic is single due to the loss of a spouse or divorce. Since the release of The Golden Bachelor (what did y’all think of the series? And Gerry?), dating for a mature man or woman is suddenly on everyone’s radar screen. I’m happy that the reality show put the spotlight on the over 50, 60, and 70s women since I firmly believe it’s never too late to write a new chapter in your life. The bachelorettes on the show proved women of a certain age are sexy and vibrant, and yes, some of them had some work. OK, maybe a lot of work. But who cares? The point was these women were not afraid to wear a sexy dress and put their best foot forward. Life is for the living, and I love how women over 50 have embraced life and are actively playing golf, tennis, and pickleball, biking through Europe, or zipping off to their local book club, enjoying every minute of their lives. And many of us are blessed to have husbands, boyfriends, children, and grandchildren who enrich our lives.
But if you find yourself in the single category like me, here’s food for thought. Not all of us are keen to embark on a dating journey because journey it is. It takes a lot of hard work and effort to get yourself out there meeting men. And many of us are happy and content to embrace the single life without a significant other. But if you’re like me and have decided that a great life can be greater with a special someone to share it with, the first step is to focus on yourself and your single life. A happy dating life relies solely on a happy single life. That means prioritizing self-care. Clean yourself up and get out there. Go bowling. Dancing. Yoga. Get involved with activities you love and enjoy life! Next week, I’ll share tips (gulp) about online dating.
Since it’s the holiday season, I chose five outfits for date night. There’s never a better time of year to put on some glitz and glam.
Yesterday, I shared Luxurious Silk Pajamas and a look at my living room holiday decoration. Click the title or image below to read the article.

Love the date night outfits. Can you also publish nail polish colors and lipstick and eye makeup for a special occasion.
Thank you.
Dear Beth, you look stunning in all five date night outfits! Brava! I especially particularly drawn to the metallic sweater dress. Lovely, feminine and sexy. And thank you for posting about dating after a certain age. I agree with your advice: “A happy dating life relies solely on a happy single life. That means prioritizing self-care. Clean yourself up and get out there.” Beautifully said! Looking forward to next week’s post about online dating! Be well and happy holidays!
Beautiful date night outfits! They are all wonderful on you!
My husband and I go out, but there’s never an occasion where I would get that dressed up. I wish there was, but casual is our lifestyle.
I watched most of the Golden Bachelor and thought it was great, although Gerry would not have been my type. I love that he picked Theresa and I hope they are very happy together with whatever time they have left.
Hope you are having a happy dating life, and enjoy the holidays Beth!
Beautiful outfits for date night!! I love getting dressed up and always appreciate new ideas! I loved the “Golden Bachelor”! He was a hottie…haha. Thought the women looked wonderful and I enjoyed a little less drama than usual. . Agree, we all need love at any age. I’m loving my newfound love and companionship at 68. Get out there ladies!!…love can happen at any age!! Xoxo Melanie
Lovely outfits. I have maybe one at most two. Occasions per year that would be as dressy. How about some dress casual styles ? Thank you
