Happy Friday, ladies! Or Bon soir, as I am spending the day in Marseilles, France. Before I left for the cruise, Kelly stopped by for FWO (Fridays with Oscar), and we had winter on our minds. Can you believe the official start of winter is less than a week away? Today we have a Holiday Dessert and Irish Coffee. What’s better on a cold winter day than Irish Coffee (I had one on a rainy, cold day in Florence)? And if you’re looking for a dessert that’s not too sweet, then may I suggest the Almond Ricotta Cake? It’s delicious! Of course, my best buddy Oscar stopped by, although he was a bit sad. He and Ollie have a sixth sense when I’m about to leave town. That’s when they stick to me like glue and watch every step. Don’t worry, buddy, I’ll be home soon!
The Mediterranean cruise the past week has been all sorts of fun! I can’t wait to share with you the beautiful sights of Italy, France, and Spain. I’ve walked a gazillion miles, eaten the pasta, drank the red wine, and thoroughly enjoyed the company of my oldest son, Alex, plus all the new people we’ve met on the cruise. It’s been a truly wonderful week.
Happy Oscar-worthy Friday to you both!
Take care in France, Beth; you both look great and I will try your recipes once again.
Beth, do you travel alone often? I love to travel; hubby not so much. I need role models for mature solo adventures!
Hi, quick question, do you drain the ricotta before using?
