You might consider taking the cloths that need to be tossed to a charity that excepts clothing to be turned into rags. I have sent cloths to Disabled Veterans that use them to make rag rugs for the homeless to sleep on.

  2. What a great post! You inspired me Beth, maybe I will write about my closet one day and I absolutely love your video. Have a great day, Renata

  3. Sue Smith says:

Love it. Great closet. My friend in Brooklyn took an Ikea upright lamp and hung it as a “chandelier” upside down, and it reminds me of yours. Gorgeous! https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/e50a78967625c928b0f1f69299235826429cfe8c2ef8bd2f5aa1c110a905d7de.jpg

  4. That is what I call a super organised closet ! I edit every month, with the same idea in mind, but for me it works better per month so I can give garments one last try before they go.

Hi, Beth. Just wanted to share with you that there may be a local organization that takes old clothes that should be destined for the rubbish heap…they sell them and receive compensation by the pound for old clothes, towels, rags, etc. So you can still donate to a charity and be sustainable by keeping things out of the landfill! You can search the internet for a local provider by searching “organizations that buy clothes by the pound for non profits” in putting in your locale. I’ve found two in my area and it’s a great way to clean your closets and benefit organizations that need the help.

  6. Darlene says:

Thanks for the peek inside your closet – very inspiring!

  7. Monika Monika says:

How do you handle dust? I have it on my desk and have to clean it 2-3 times a week. I guess items I don’t wear for a month would colled a lot of dust.
