Happy Spring 2023… As we welcome Spring, we are refreshing our closets, homes and lives!! Seems like forever that we’ve called it Spring Cleaning…
Today, Marlene is sharing a modern spring refresh

In 2023, the Spring Refresh seems suitably ~ clean ~ modern!! Whether we are replacing…repurposing…or literally cleaning; they all represent new beginnings…organization, freedom, optimism for our futures and happy, best lives!

Maybe your spring refresh is with new paint, lighting and luxurious bedding or mattress, a kitchen or bath update with beautifully absorbent cotton towels and rug. It may simply be creating counter or table vignettes for efficiency – any or every room!
Organizers of all sorts can be beautiful and functional…as Art! A sculptural cube counter/stool for the shower perhaps?
The “Made in USA” Twist cube from the Frank Gehry Furniture Collection is just such an Art piece. So versatile in use and colors for all ages as a playful footstool, bench, table, in playrooms or poolside. It adds fun and colorful modern, functional solutions – to make you smile indoors or out!!

The Collection was designed by famed Architect, Frank Gehry, renowned for his Guggenheim Bilbao, Spain, Walt Disney Concert Hall, Los Angeles, and many more. During my years at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum New York, I had the privilege to work on his 2001 retrospective.
Maybe your Spring refresh, inspired by Art, is taking you out to the garden, patio or deck with blooming plants, succulents or table, stools and lighting to prepare for al fresco dining?

This Spring, several of my friends and clients happen to be relocating, as I have done many times. Some from across the pond…others to or from “my” San Francisco. Moving inspires a sense of wonder…an exciting feeling of chance and possibility! It’s a delight to create a new and special environment for living our best selves!
Of course, fresh starts can be cleansing yet dauting, in our fast, over the top world with so much of life pulling at us from so many sides. We must find our own joy and simplicity…whatever, that is to us. Whatever feeds our souls!!
