Coronation and Mother’s Day highlight May 2023 celebrations!! Today, I'm taking a look back at the Coronation from last week.
Today, Marlene is taking a look back at the coronation
She's also sharing a British-themed gift-guide for Mother's day
Days and weeks of celebrating continue…from international receptions pre coronation to the momentous investiture ceremony in Westminster Abbey, and the Gala and Concert that followed. The world rejoices with merriment, art and music!
Pomp and circumstance: fly bys, dancing, dining and more!!
How lovely that Prince William quoted from his grandmother Queen Elizabeth's coronation speech from 1953: ‘'Coronations are a declaration of our hopes for the future.’ stating
“She would be a proud mother."
Mother’s, Grandmother’s, and Mother figures here in the U. S. are also enjoying pre and post-Mother’s Day celebrations!! What happy times!!
Grandmother and First Lady Jill Biden shared the Coronation with granddaughter Finnegan in London to celebrate together!
Here at home, we are all honoring our Mother figures…with cards, gifts, brunches, luncheons and more! Sharing important times with family and friends creates the rich fabric of life on all sides of the Pond! Holding dear those we cherish, whether in person or over the miles… is important!
Creating memories that last a lifetime is a joy…remembering them in photos and our minds eye, for years to come!
England is a lovely theme for celebrating our dear “Mothers” and Springtime, this special coronation year - the first since 1953! Brunch or teatime, gifts…maybe tickets to London?!
