mid-week mr. style and i like to throw on some special duds and head out on the town. sometimes, summer in the south can be a tricky time of year to plan your outfit. there are thunderstorms to contend with, hot and humid weather, and the relentless hum of air conditioners that blast cold air 24/7. it’s easy enough to grab a pair of shorts and lightweight tee if you plan on being outside for any length of time. but it’s a different story when day turns to dusk with the possibility of dining outside. or not. don’t you love it when life delivers a problem you can solve?
today’s ootd (or is that ootn since this is a night time outfit?) solves this dilemma. any way you slice it layers are the way to go. a pair of white pants from Theory, adorable paisley cami from J.Crew Factory, and linen blazer from Marks and Spencer signals summer while looking smart and are perfect choices for date night. equal parts chic and cool each piece is lightweight to beat that Georgia heat. yet, still look stylish if met with indoor frigid temps.
don’t forget to add a statement necklace (similar here) and jazzy handbag (this was purchased in Italy). accessories make or break your outfit and are easy ways to stay on trend without breaking the bank.
