Such a bright pop of color. I have a Talbots jacket in that color from another year, and will enjoy getting it out again this year. Come cooler weather, I love being able to bring in color when so many fall/winter clothes tend towards muted tones. Looks fabulous!

fall colors tend to be muted tones don’t they sue? always nice to bring in alternatives. when is your upcoming surgery? let me know if you get a chance. xo

You’re sweet to remember. I was told back in March that my RA disease activity levels were too high to allow surgery, so I have been in agony since then–FINALLY I was given the ok to go forward with surgery, (even though with 3 strong RA meds, I’m still in the high range of disease activity levels) and I meet the surgeon on Oct 11th to get the first knee started! I told my rheumatologist I have to move forward. I’m literally crunching bone on bone when I walk. RA has taken its toll. So I now have RA and OA. Wish me luck…I know it will be a long haul with two to do. I also had to recently have another emergency surgery and now I’m told I need cataract surgery as well. It’s been quite a year for medical issues! I’ll be bionic soon. xo

Just a comment, wonder if ohers agree…
I wore pointy shoes ( like these shown ) in heels & flats my entire life. Now in my early 70’s sudden development of pain
In toes requing ortho surgery. I loved the look. Paying for it now. Rounded or square shape is better, but there often isn’t much of that around. We follow fashion, wear pointy toes without thinking. We don’t demand alternatives..

    • beth djalali says:

i have shared alternatives on occasion. check out adrian allen shoes or easy spirit or jambu. but it’s challenging to make a comfortable and good looking shoe. i typically size up with pointy-toed shoes so they don’t pinch. and honestly, if you made it to your seventies without any problems that’s a victory in itself. can you imagine our joints hauling our bodies around for that length of time? it’s an amazing machine but it does wear down over time. xo
