happy friday, peeps! we made it to the end of another week. as you can see from one of the photos oscar made a new friend! he’s always up to meeting and greeting a fellow canine, and this time, the feeling was mutual. isn’t this old english sheepdog adorable? years ago, when mr. style and i were newlyweds we owned two sheepdogs. they were great dogs and so patient with our boys when they were toddlers. during our houston days, they spent many an hour splashing in the pool. first, they would gracefully climb down the stairs swim a few laps then dry off on the deck and curl up in the shade with one watchful eye always pointed on my kiddos. memories! today’s ootd is plain and simple as friday’s tend to be. but i do love slipping on a lightweight sweater over a pair of shorts. it’s a nice respite from summer tee’s. the shorts are on major sale at Talbots and were last seen here. speaking of sales i’m picking up where i left off yesterday and sharing more of my favorites from nordstrom’s anniversary sale. did you think i’d forget about an accessory or two? or did you?

I love the v-neck sweater. I have two that I get a lot of use out of– very similar to this–navy and black–and I, too, have sometimes worn them with shorts–I tend to get very cold, even in the hottest summer temps, if I’m going to be indoors, because buildings are invariably freezing with the A/C blasting.
That photo of Oscar and his new pal is adorable. I can see why Oscar’s happy! Beautiful dogs. We always had Yellow Labs, and they were the sweetest personalities, but man, did they shed. I miss our dogs, but not the shedding!
