I adore this classic look you have on today. I always feel so well put together when I wear a classic look. You mentioned the trend this year is for a looser fitting jean. I say hooray!! What kind of tops can we expect to see with this looser fitting jean? Shorter? Fitted? Tucked-in? What works to keep the silhouette looking polished and not baggy?

Loved the clothing and Isak Dinesen’s house in that movie. That book is beautifully written–it’s on my shelf and will never leave. And you are beautiful here in this classic look as well. Happy Tuesday.

awww, love to hear that book is sitting on your shelf! and it translated well into film. oh the fashion that was depicted. it truly set the tone. xo

  3. My heart just dropped when I saw “similar shirt” in the buying guide. I WANT THAT SHIRT. No, actually I just want to look like you when I wear it…FAB!!

i do remember that store. and there was another store, can’t remember the name, that offered classic clothes with an equestrian twist. i would always find something fun there that had silver buttons on the skirt or a long denim vest. now i have to go in search of the name of the store! do you still live in houston? xo

I moved from Houston in 2005 and I live in Ohio now (with stops in Mississippi and Nashville on my way here). My parents (92 and 89) and 2 of my kids still live in Houston and I visit often. My parents are in a retirement high rise in the Tanglewood area and my kids live close by.
