beautiful eyes | confident style

recently i developed a partnership with THE eyeSOLUTION from Alcon. did you know that once upon a time i had 20/20 vision? and I bet many of you lovely readers did as well. then things started to change. during my forties, i owned a variety of readers to help me with, well, reading. when my fifties rolled into town, i noticed not only restaurant menus were out of focus but price tags, bus signs, and even freeway exits. i won’t bore you with how many times i ended up on the san francisco muni 7X express when all i needed was the humble 7! and, no, the driver will not make an exception and add a bus stop just for you. even if you flash your brightest smile. instead, he’ll roll his eyes, point to the rear of the bus, and howl with laughter mingled with a few choice words.

thank goodness, i finally penciled in a long overdue appointment with an ophthalmologist. which has now turned into a yearly exam. amen! you see, eyes change over the course of a lifetime and eye care along with it. and guess what? i was informed by my dr. that i was in need of prescription glasses. but then lickety split, he suggested i try contacts and popped one into my eye. if the choir had been present in the exam room the hallelujah chorus would have erupted into “i can see clearly now…” and i was determined from that point onward to wear contact lenses even if it was touch-and- go before i could easily slip a lens into my eye. or shift the process into reverse. take it from me; the naked eye does not look kindly upon oncoming traffic. but persistence happens to be my middle name, and I simply prefer contact lenses as opposed to prescriptive glasses. even though i do like to switch off now and again. guess you can teach an old dog new tricks. thank you, modern medicine, and thank you THEeyeSOLUTION for providing all of those necessary products that allow me to experience a lifetime of beautiful eyes. like clear care plus which cleans my contacts overnight. before bed, all i have to do is pop the lenses into the case and immerse into the solution. i can actually see those tiny bubbles going to work!
