  1. DING DING DING!!!! A style winner. This is soooo you. I can’t even begin to use words to tell you how much I love this outfit. ELEGANT and fun!

PS. I did wear the outfit inspired by your black tweed jacket and black skirt and top to my Kohl’s shoot for the opening dinner. I felt confident and dressed “just right”. Thanks again for the inspiration. Shelley

how was your photo shoot? i imagine kohl’s took good care of you and you had a ball! and i’m thrilled you wore your tweed jacket over a black skirt and top. i imagine you looked tres chic.

Very pretty! I always like a collarless jacket–allows for nice jewelry, scarves, and different shirt styles underneath it. This one is lovely–I have a couple of “Chanel-like” jackets that are dear to me–I’ve had one for years and I always feel good in it–and I used to use it for dressy occasions, but I pop it over jeans now, too. Fun!

isn’t it funny how attached we become with certain items?! i don’t look forward to the day i have to replace this jacket. i’ve worn it everywhere the past decade or so. but my favorite way to style it is with a pair of blue jeans.

The jacket is perfect…collarless and no buttons…the Chanel profile is flattering to most gals. Glad to see block heels make a comeback. We wore the heck out of them in the 60’s and 70’s. I think I had square toed patent leather in a couple of colors. Hubs and I are headed out today but only to buy chicken feed…I know, the glamour of it all…ha! xoxo

    • beth djalali says:

my favorite kind of jacket, donna! and the block heels are a welcome sight as they are so comfortable to wear.
where do you live that you have chickens in your yard? for some reason i thought you were in a neighborhood.
      xoxo

      • donnanance says:

We are in a suburban neighborhood on the west side of Indianapolis. Residents can have chickens so long as there are no complaints from neighbors. (i.e. rooster crowing at dawn or incessantly) This is an older neighborhood with no stringent restrictions.

Thank you, thank you for always providing links to similar items. Invaluable for someone like me who hates to shop and gets overwhelmed by choices in stores and online. Ordered the J. Crew tulip t- shirt this morning, pronto. Would have nevered considered it but realized it’s just the ticket to perk up my capsule wardrobe.

    • beth djalali says:

department store shopping can be overwhelming even with good visual merchandising in place. but i’m happy you decided to try the tulip tee – i’ve seen it in the stores and it is darling.
