how to wear double denim

who else struggles out of bed when the sun isn’t shining? it’s sooo much easier to start the day when sunshine is there to greet you. there’s something so serene about a summer morning when the sun peeks over the horizon and the birds begin to chirp. not so come winter when everyone is bedded down for the long haul. the worst part of winter is the shorter days, and they’re only going to get shorter. on the other hand, come nightfall i love to snuggle under a blanket and watch my favorite t.v. show camped out on the couch. there are zero regrets if i hang out there all night. checks and balances come with any season, right?! it’s the yin and yang of life. but pour me another cup of joe, please, as i wait for the sun to rise.

it’s always a good day when a sweater is involved. today, i’m wearing a chunky turtleneck last seen here. it’s popped over a striped button down similar here that serves as an extra layer of warmth (don’t let the sunshine fool you it was chilly outside) and a splash of color. skinny ankle jeans last seen here are my go-to blue jeans come winter. don’t they look great with ankle booties similar here? as for my jacket, i grabbed my beloved jean jacket today for a little denim on denim action. yes, double denim can be tricky to wear, but it can be done. it’s double the fun when done right.
