if it’s thursday then it’s time to dig into the archives. today, i’m sharing a timeless and classic shirtdress. this particular dress is by eileen fischer that is a great transition piece from spring to summer and summer to fall.

a classic shirtdress is a must-have in my closet. wear it cinched with a belt as in today’s ootd. or pop one over a pair of jeans for a modern twist. this dress also looks great worn as a jacket. simply unbutton then toss over a tee/shirt and denim/pants. roll the cuffs and you now have a lightweight third layer that’s perfect for days that start off cool then turn hot.
needless to say, this hardworking beauty is versatile. one reason at least one is hanging in my closet at all times. this silk shirtdress is the perfect weight for a summer day. if the temps cool down toss on a denim jacket. while you’re at it add a fedora hat for extra pizazz.
mr. style and i are on the road again. this time, we’re zipping down to atlanta to drop one of our kiddos off at the airport. our house will seem soooo quiet when we return as the past three weeks all three boys have bopped in and out then in again with regularity. oscar won’t know what to do with himself now it’s back to just the three of us. secretly, he’ll be happy to have his room all to himself. if i hadn’t mentioned it oscar has claimed our guestroom as his own, including the bed… but you’ll be seeing him tomorrow. can you believe another week is drawing to an end?! so let’s make today count.
Every time I see someone in a green shirt dress, it reminds me that I have one somewhere…maybe I will actually go look for it today. LOL. Wonderful outfit on you, a keeper for all times.
