I was fortunate enough to live a short drive from totality. You can be of a ‘certain age’ but you are never too old to be amazed and awed! Three cheers for our sun and moon.

Oh, fun! We have a green rooftop with solar panels on our building at work, and everyone headed up there for the festivities. It’s our new students’ orientation, and so we handed out glasses to everyone, and offered moonpies and sun chips. 😉 Last time I watched an eclipse, I did the old pinhole method.

I saw someone online who posted using a colander–and beneath it, one could see the crescents of the sun all over, below it. Very cool! The shadows from leaves on trees were also incredible.

What a great way to view the eclipse! You looked tres chic and cool. It didn’t get too dark here…just dark enough that the chickens started going to bed. They were embarrassed when the sun came back out. ha! xoxo

  4. I’d little this post “Eclipse with style” – beautiful Beth.
