it’s thursday ladies. time for a look straight out of the archives and san francisco – our home for several years. what is more classic than the fab color combo navy and white? especially when summer rolls into town. it’s sporty and nautical, crisp and clean.
both the coat and sweater are from talbots that have hung in my closet for quite some time. that’s the best part about a classic item – they last for years. here is a similar striped sweater and here. coat similar here and here.
many times when i’m wearing a classic ensemble i’ll reach for an iconic handbag. they go hand-in-hand and reinforce a timeless look.
to add a little pizazz to my outfit i opted for a pair of leopard shoes similar here and here, and leopard belt similar here and here. a little pattern mixing goes a long way. accessories are an easy way to keep your outfit looking fresh and modern. don’t forget the devil is in the details. even when it comes to putting an outfit together.

Love the red bag with this–very nautical and patriotic. I have a pair of white cropped pants that seem to go everywhere with me these days. I love them, and they’ve been around several years and are still going strong. You look mahhhhvelous.
