homeward bound

one of the questions frequently asked here at the blog is “what do you wear when you work from home?” on any given day you will find me in a pair of blue jeans. super comfy, but when a zipper is involved it tends to keep my eating habits in check. don’t you just hate it when the zipper stops midway? but many times you will see my version of athleisure which has taken the fashion world by storm. think kylie jenner or gigi hadid clad in their workout gear – cropped tops and yoga pants or track pants. do any of you remember when track suits first made an appearance? my dad was over the moon for several versions. once he hit the front door from work he’d exchange his suit and tie for his zip-up adidas jacket and elasticated pants. all the better to eat ice cream, he claimed. my husband is also a big fan of track suits but somewhere along the way our kiddos decided pops shouldn’t have such a coordinated look and got him hooked on athletic separates. talk about influence?! and while i have to be cautious of my ice cream consumption i do like a nice pair of pants to lounge around the house in. so today’s on-trend ootd is my version of athleisure. the pants were last seen here. with the temps just starting to heat up here in athens, i have on a 3/4 length topper over a striped tee. it’s the perfect weight for spring. if i have to run a quick errand, all i have to do is slip on a pair of sandals and grab a tote which i much prefer over a handbag when wearing a super-casual ootd. you’ll notice my accessories are kept to a bare minimum – watch and earrings. i have to tell you, it’s pretty darn nice to work from home. doesn’t everyone walk back-and-forth in front of their garage and pose?! i think some of our new neighbors are beginning to wonder…
