travel blues

when travel is imminent, there are two priorities for me. the first, travelling in comfort. the second, fabulous looking travel bags. when we lived in vietnam, i discovered a company by the name of ipa nima that carried unique handbags, suitcases, and a fun assortment of accessories. on one of our visits to hanoi, ipa nima’s headquarters, i fell in love with these suitcases that are perfect for carry-on luggage if travelling by plane, or for a quick weekend getaway. a matching handbag completes the ensemble, and i’m ready to hit the road. as for my travel outfit, i like to look polished, but nothing fussy. shoes that can slip off easily are a must if i’m headed through airport security lines. plus, kitten heels are the perfect height for traversing airport concourses. a blazer keeps me warm if the temps are on the cool side, but can easily slip off if the temperature heats up. i kept the look monochromatic, letting the luggage take center stage (although, blue is my go-to color). if you are jetting off for a summer vacay keep in mind that style doesn’t have to be compromised by comfort. let me know what travel plans you have scheduled for this summer!
