Happy Thursday, ladies! I don't know about you but it's cold outside here in Athens, GA. And I hear the country is in for some frigid weather in the near future. In that spirit, I decided to pull together 25 comfy cozy sweaters to get you through winter.
And while the holidays are coming up, I *didn't* decide to bring in bad Christmas sweaters. Instead, I've grouped them by the following categories:
And while I realize there's some overlap between the categories, I think these will do just fine. So, let your fireplace, get a warm drink, and let's get to it.
Today, I'm featuring 25 comfy cozy sweaters to get you through winter
I've grouped the sweaters by category and pulled in an inspiration outfit to show you how I've worn them in the past
All the sweaters plus the inspiration outfits are shoppable via text- and image-widgets
Who doesn't love the soft feel of a cashmere sweater? Definitely investment pieces (don't forget to mothball them, ladies), it's hard to imagine a more cozy sweater than a cashmere one.
Dress them up with your favorite skirt; or dress them down slightly with a pair of denim and your favorite boots. No matter how you love to wear a cashmere sweater, no wardrobe is complete without one.
Cable knit sweaters are iconic classics and part of any sustainable wardrobe. They never, ever go out of style. If you don't have one, I would definitely start with a neutral: cream or camel. And if you do have one, try one with a pop of color. Obvious choice would be red, but I love a great yellow cable knit too.
Another classic, fair isle sweaters are back in a big way this year. It seems like every retailer I love is featuring them extensively. So many fun patterns and colors, not only are fair isle sweaters the embodiment of comfy cozy, but they give you a real opportunity to have a little fun.
Probably the most "generic" category I pulled in today, no doubt. But I didn't want to forget about merino and wool blend sweaters. (Think cashmere and alpaca.) Not much to say here other than I just wanted to feature some of the sweaters I currently have my eye on that didn't make the other categories.
Yup, you guessed it: I'm in the middle of the final season of Yellowstone. Absolutely love chunky cardigans, especially shawl-collar ones. Whether you go western print or err on the side of something a little more subdued, you absolutely cannot go wrong with a chunky cardigan.
