It’s a stunning. And edgy look. I can’t think where I would wear it here in my small home town but I do love the skirt with short booties. Have a wonderful day, Beth.

hopefully, travel restrictions will ease and you can head to NYC at some point to catch a Broadway production.
      let’s keep on hoping!

Ok,WOW,is the first thing that comes to mind!
You absolutely look stunning in any outfit.
So true about timeless classic pieces. I have decades old pieces that still look great to this day. Thanks for all the ideas to keep them looking on trend.

You look fabulous in head to toe black – your coloring is particularly suited. The China virus pandemic will pass and we’ll all be out and about again. For now, I still enjoy planning a nice outfit for visits to stores, doctor appointments, outdoor dining, etc. It makes me happy and hopefully is appealing to others. I always notice nice outfits or hairstyles on others. We look for beauty and joy wherever we can find it.

    Hi Beth!

You mentioned your leg wear in this post. Would you consider doing a post all about leg wear – tights vs. hose; when to wear which? I find myself passing on wearing a LBD for a party, because I feel like tights are too “heavy” for the dress and pumps. I’m never comfortable about bare legs and dress shoes. And if I do opt for panty hose, I never know if I should wear black or nude. I just stay with what I know … slacks. Thank you!

Excellent advice, Beth. My Four Season wool suits, from my working days, over 15 yrs ago are still going strong. Classic styles and colours in natural fibres.

I have always budgeted extra money for shoes. Leather, steel shanks, proper arch support, etc.. They look good, they are good for your feet/knees/hips, and last forever. Finances might mean fewer items, but you will always look polished.
