Wondering about the H blanket. Hermès?

I’ve never been able to decipher the meaning of OOTD – ?? Also, do you hear any mention of when pants will again be made to hang smooth and straight without gathering at the seams, bunching along the leg and pulling across the crouch? I always want to have a pulled-together look and it’s a challenge when pants appear to be the wrong size for my slender body.

    • Beth Djalali says:

Trousers would be your best bet for a smooth hang. Denim and corduroy aren’t meant to hang smoothly but rather hug your frame, as they typically have a bit of stretch in the fabric. OOTD stands for outfit of the day.
      Hope this helps!

Is your studio in your basement?

    • Beth Djalali says:

Yes, I have a walkout basement so I get a bit of daylight down there. That’s where the YouTube Studio is located and a guest room and guest bath for visitors.

Do you have a microwave or other way of cooking in your studio kitchen ? Thanks

  5. Karen says:

Hi Beth, your studio looks great 👍 You did such a great job decorating.
This is just a thought if you picked a grey that would go with your flooring and spray paint your ceiling. You would hardly know it would all blend. You would spray everything including vents and duct work.
We did this at our house and it worked out really well.
    Have a great week !

Thanks for the suggestion! I worked with an interior designer who coordinated all the paint colors, including the spray-painted black ceiling that gives an industrial feel to the room. The wall color was chosen with YouTube lighting in mind, but I’m so happy with how the space turned out. It’s functional as a studio but still warm and inviting for guests.

Am a subscriber. Enjoy reading yr posts. Was an art magazine fact checker/editor. My eye is trained to notice typos: The sweater in today’s post links to Veronica Beard, s b iTalbots & coats is misspelled. Do you want another pair of eyes reviewing, LMK.

I stumbled on to your site and I’m hooked. First of all, I am also a GSD fan; I’ve had 2. Currently, I have a little black smooth coat retriever… I find that black (fur) goes with everything! I love your sophisticated and hip style! I started wearing Doc Martin boots with jeans after a back injury, now I wear them with everything including dresses. So my questions are: what do you think of docs? And, are corduroy pants on trend? Not that I care (well, maybe a little) I love them. Thanks for your inspiration!

I have pretty much the same slope chair in my living room, but mine are a forest green. More comfortable than they look, and I love the style. The open-ness of the legs keeps everything looking clean and uncluttered as it allows the slight-lines to go past the chair.

Also, loving the colour of your cords today.
