spring, sprang, sprung

  1. Morning- Two things. 1. We don’t get to wear our military jackets much in Fl but the fuchsia color you’ve mixed with it will be a hit here this week when we “dip” to the 60’s! (Im not a FL gal but hubby loves it!) 2. This reminds me to replace my beloved “neutral” leopard shoes. I wear them so much they loose their spots! Colors look great together. Another fine example of how our wardrobes and home decor have so much in common.-Laurel

jenna lyons did say ‘leopards are a neutral.’ and i believe her. she thinks camo is too, and i am on board that train. this military jacket is linen and the sleeves roll up and fasten with a tab. perfect for when florida dips into the 60’s. what a crazy winter this has been, laurel! it is definitely keeping us on our toes.
i think you need to come and help design my home. all i’ve tackled so far is my office/closet. 🙂 and i still haven’t committed to flooring… so technically its only 90% finished.
      xo

      • I like this Jenna gal! No need for us to come to you (but we could next time we are in your area!) for design work…how about using our digital design option. With technology how it is now it’s so very effective. We could both write a post about the process (shameless plug!)-Laurel

I love this OOTD. I could recreate it because I have so many similar items in my closet. I would be lacking the scarf to pull the look off as well as you have. I noticed you did not list where you got it. The combination says Spring but not in full force. Great choices for a snowy, chilly day in March.

    • beth djalali says:

i did forget to label the scarf – it is j.crew about 10 years old.
can you believe this crazy winter, diane?! my mother always said that basketball tournaments and snowstorms were a given. they don’t call it ‘march madness’ for nothing.

Love the pink and olive combo!!

  4. Eva says:

I’m new to your blog, what is OOTD? Also, twice last week I’ve added my email to get your daily updates and I get a message that I need to check my email to confirm my subscription, but I never got an email. Any idea why?

  5. Sue Smith says:

I love a sage or khaki green with pink–it softens it but doesn’t make it look so “girly” as just a pink on its own can sometimes look. this is pretty–the scarf ties it all beautifully together.

I love this OOTD! I have all the elements in my closet right now but I never would have thought to put them together like this. Thank you so much! I found your blog when you used to participate in Fashion Flash and i have become a faithful lurker. Thank you for the wonderful ideas.

Nice outfit! Love the colors! I think I have everything except the jacket and of course, the leopard shoes. Have to remedy that. The older folks around here are kinda funny…because it happened one time fifty years ago, it should happen every year. We do have snow today…my poor daffodils, crocus and hyacinth.

  8. Rebecca Saffer says:

Love green and pink – really nice outfit. May I ask about the bag? I really like it.

  9. Sharon Woryn says:

I know what you mean about the return of the cold. We have snow as well! Great picks to keep a little spring in the ootd. I just want to wash the winter sweaters and put them away. Well, can’t complain. We have power and thousands of people here are still without power.

Love the bag…can you let me know what brand is it and where you purchased it?
