looking for ways to brighten your day? think pops of pattern. and don’t be afraid to mix prints. it’s fresh, it’s fun and it’s fabulous. and quite on-trend. if you’re willing to experiment make your mark with stripes and prints. today’s ootd is all about spring where i’ve embraced mixed prints with playful and bright jewel tones. once upon a time, when living in minnesota, we had scores of lilac bushes surrounding our yard that ushered in spring every may with branches loaded with an abundance of blooms. and while the flowered print of my skirt doesn’t necessarily hale from the lilac family, the color of my striped blouse is a definite reminder of that sweet fragrant shrub. oh, the joys of spring! if you’re ever on the fence about shelling out big bucks when it comes to trying a trend on for size – think consignment. today’s skirt by Moschino was only $49.99 at thredUP a great online source for scores of brands at affordable prices.
