outfit post <boyfriend jeans>
there was a catchy song in the sixties that went like this: ‘my boyfriend’s back, and you’re gonna be in trouble’ and, i have to admit that every time i pull on a pair of my ‘boyfriend jeans’ i can’t help but hum the tune off and on throughout the day. i also have to admit that this style of jean is just plain fun to wear, not to mention comfortable. but remember, it’s important to pair them with the right accessories. one false move and you’ll end up looking dowdy. they’re oversized, after all, and if you belong to the over fifty club like me, frumpy is not the adjective you want strung in a sentence that refers to your style. so be sure to glam this look up with a pair of sky-high heels and fitted blazer or dress them down with super sharp flats, tee and an amazing belt. go on, take a break from your skinnies and reach for your boyfriend jeans for a change of pace when it comes to your off-duty dressing. for today’s ootd, i decided to go with a more casual look for my boyfriend jeans and paired them with an oversized sweater in one of my favorite color combinations – grey and pink. a pair of pointy-toed heels coordinates nicely with the color of my handbag and ties in with my sweater. now i’m ready to run out the door for a day filled with errands or even a lunch date with one of my besties. since the weather is cooperating here in San Francisco we can even dine al fresco..
