fridays with oscar
it’s father’s day this sunday! june 19th. can you believe we are halfway through the year? where does the time disappear to? but oscar and i are enjoying summer, chillin’ on our front porch, and giving father’s day a test run. come sunday; there’s typically a barbecue involved, fresh veggies and dip, and a few cold drinks. mr. style is partial to white wine, i favor red, but on a hot summer day, mimosa’s are a refreshing treat. there’s prosecco and champagne on ice, so we have choices today. oscar was convinced he wanted to snack on those yummy carrots i set out, but once one hit his mouth, he quickly changed his mind… many of you write in asking for comfortable, yet stylish, shoes. today, i think i just might have a pair for you. these dansko sandals are on trend with a low block heel and are heavenly to wear with a comfortable sole. and the raffia detail? it adds subtle sophistication to my safari chic ootd. today, i’m beating the heat in a pair of linen bermuda shorts that are on sale! i’ve paired them with a lightweight cotton and silk blouse with oversized pockets. a leopard belt cinched around my waist polishes off my outfit. now, i’m ready to toast in father’s day in style. how about you?

Love your porch! The blue is just the perfect accent color. Your outfit looks very cool. Glad to see block heels make a comeback. My Chis have a baby carrot each morning with peanut butter on it. Happy Father’s Day to Mr Style!

Its the weekend so I stopped in to see what you and Mr. Oscar are up to! wow he is such a gorgeous dog! I thought you were feeding him Cheeze doodles…..then read the post and saw its a carrot, LOL! I love those chairs…..my Mom told me to look in my Southern Lady magazine this month and see the pretty blue rocking chairs on a front porch. I have them in white and she said “your chairs would look amazing painted that color!” and when I looked, I fell in love with the color. Its almost identical to the color of your chairs there, so neat! Did you get them that way or paint them? Or did you happen to see them in the magazine? I really like the cute and summery outfit! aren’t these chairs perfect sitting on a porch?! the chairs came painted black and were purchased from the previous owners. one of the reasons we purchased the house was due to this amazing front porch. and rocking chairs are a must-have on a hot summer day. then all i have to do is brew a batch of sun tea!
