Love the floral skirt. It is difficult to find cotton or cotton plus in pencil skirts. I wear my skirts just below the knee. The cropped sweater is fresh looking with that skirt. I’m past 80 but enjoy the preppy style .

  3. Barb B says:

Love the bright colors! They look very pretty for spring. BTW I hope you make the Sephora cut! I love to see you wear stylish outfits age appropriately! It makes clothes fun!

  4. LYNN A TADDEI says:

Thank you for the great style/shopping tips you include in this blog. However, I have a question:

The tops that you wear (especially cardigans and jackets) always look like they’re too small for you. They had color and style but they always look like you can’t move in them and that they aren’t comfortable. Just saying. . . . .

    • Beth Djalali says:

really? i can move and groove in all of my clothes. but most women wear clothes that are too big. a jacket should have the seams hit
the bone on your shoulder same with cardigans. just sayin’!

      • Charlene Burroughs says:

I love this outfit Beth! The bright color looks stunning with your silver hair.

  5. Alec says:

Love the look. Even more, love the links.

Thanks as always for making fashion fun again.

  6. Eve says:

Now, that’s a “wow” look. You are not afraid of pattern or color. Bold and beautiful! I can’t wear it but I sure admire women who can.

  7. Meg Knox says:

Hi Beth from “down under” Love this outfit but it needs pink or mauve nail polish! I am so enjoying your daily posts. Thank you so much.

    • Beth Djalali says:

i think i’m wearing cajun shrimp polish. if only i could switch out colors so quickly! hello, down under.

      • Meg Knox says:

Thank you for the reply Beth. Sorry I didn’t mean it as a criticism -I just love matching colours! Your daily emails are a breath of fresh air and even enjoyed “down under” even though our seasons are exactly opposite!

        • Beth Djalali says:

none taken! i seriously meant i wish i could change my nail color on a whim. just recently i had lavender nails that would have gone
beautifully with this outfit! thanks for being here.

    Beth,
This is one of my favorite looks for summer- a skirt, a white tee, a cardigan and heels! Gold hoops and necklace too! You look great in the purple. I enjoy your blog every day. Keep up the great work! 💐💕

  12. Priscilla C Herrera says:

    Outfit is absolutely adorable!

  13. Brenda says:

You look beautiful in that color.

  14. Linda says:

Love your outfit but I am short at 5’1″ and feel that the print on the skirt is a little large for me. Would I go to a smaller print pencil skirt?

  15. Marilyn Clancy says:

    Beth
You look like what we all need..a new beginning .thanks for the uplift today
    Marilyn

  16. Janet Loop says:

I love the bright colors in this outfit. They look great on you.
The purple cardigan looks great matched with the skirt. As always, this is fantastic pairing.

  17. Andrea says:

Oh Beth, that outfit is such a breath of fresh air. Full of springtime joy but still chic and versatile.

I worked for a very conservative financial institution at one point, where we had to wear uniforms. My husband always joked I looked like a cross between a stewardess and a funeral home director. He was right, so I bent the rules ever so slightly with my footwear. Lime green kitten heels/small purse, for my dark navy suit made me feel feminine. The other women just loved to see what I would come up with, and the customers loved it too. We only get one spring a year, after all 🌷

  18. MP says:

Super cute outfit! I have so many tops/ tees that would go with that skirt. love, love, love the sandals but I know what those thin straps feel like. 🙁 Not worth the pain to me.

  19. Sandra says:

I just purchased the beautiful floral pencil skirt. If I look half as good as Beth does in hers I will be happy!
