I am wanting to make this recipe. But, I am confused when you say “drizzle the creme”. What are the ingredients for the creme? You list the garnishes but I do not see the ingredients for the creme? Thanks!

    • Beth Djalali says:

that was a typo, barbara. there’s a variation that includes an avocado creme drizzled on top but we chose to omit that step. the recipe has been updated.

  2. Annie L. says:

Good morning, Beth! Who cares what anybody might say about your fashion choices! You’re a Doll! Thank you for all your hard work on your blog! I’m grateful to read about you and WHAT you think, everyday. Afterall, you’re the one putting yourself out there. You’re SO brave. Glad you’re boys are by you. They certainly love you and support you! ME, too! 💝

  3. Sylvia Espinoza says:

Great camo look, Beth. I’m hunting for just the right camo look for me. With Veterans Day observance coming next week, and as the spouse of a Vietnam vet, am drawn to the look! The nacho recipe sounds delicious! A bit more involved than how I make mine, but may give it a try for the added flavors in your recipe. Lastly, Fridays take on a special warmth once we see Oscar! Happy weekend to you & yours~

I fell in love with my Navy issue clothes when I joined the Navy many years ago. They are after all created by top designers. I love that other women outside the service discovered these great stylish coats and the suits, including the seersucker summer suit, were great. We wore navy with black back then.
I love field jackets, barn jackets, bomber jackets and all things camo with color. I especially love this blue. Great post today. Hello Oscar, my Shadie says Hi!

  5. Julie Greene says:

Wow! I was surprised to see you kneeling on your replaced knee today in your photo with Oscar. Looks like a complete recovery. Lucky you!

    Those nachos sound delicious!

    Happy Weekend, Julie

  6. Cindy says:

I love your outfit! It’s adorable as always. I always wanted to try camo outfits and you showed me it’s a great break from the every day same old-same old. When I wear it I think of my Dad, my brothers, my son and my grandson who serve or have served our great country. 🇺🇸

  7. Carol says:

You look stunning! Stylish with an edge! Cheers to the weekend!!!

  8. Kate says:

I’m an English gal lady living in France….I saw a tres chic lady wearing a green camo print scarf, with a camel trench coat and heels-totally gorgeous! I had to buy a similar scarf, and whenever I wear it I feel it gives my outfit a real ‘edge’. Hooray for a little camo!

  9. Teresa Darnielle-Morse says:

I think the camo outfit looks great! Love the photos of your dog too.
I am not much of a cook but even I might be able to fix nachos! Thank you and have a good weekend.

  10. Elise says:

You indicated “i’m wearing a size medium. the fit is tts.”
    What is tts?

  11. Andrea says:

I have never warmed to camo, but nachos have become a staple summer lunch, enjoyed in the gazebo. We missed our winter holidays in Mazatlan, Mexico, so much when returned that nachos became our homesick remedy. Ours are usually just nacho chips with melted cheese, with a bowl of salsa and raw veggie sticks – and of course cervesa.

Sadly, we will miss our winter vacay this year, but you have saved the day, Beth. Your nacho/drink combo is perfect for a chilly Friday evening with a good movie. 🎁

  12. Irene says:

I like the blue variation and how you have styled it. I found it interesting that as I was researching information for a trip to Barbados that camouflage is prohibited in that country. I am Canadian and do not see as much of it here as I do in the States. After all, we do have the “Canadian Tuxedo” 😉

  13. Deidra A Haywood says:

Love the camo sweat shirt because it is a color other than the usual green. That blue is really nice. The nacho recipe looks easy, I must try it.

  14. Polly Coleman says:

What’s not to like about camo? i love this outfit- looks very comfy!

  15. Ana Parsons momana says:

Beth, I have a similar blue camo sweater. Never thought to put a denim shirt underneath. Love the look. Great style tip.

  16. Christine Corser says:

i love your camo sweatshirt! I found one at Costco (name fashion brand) but they didn’t have size L. I like them roomy with a t shirt underneath. When i returned the next week, all of them were sold! Darn. Have a nice week. Love your dog!

  17. Judy Bell says:

The nacho recipe looks so delish, and I’m planning to make this dish, however, there seems to be a step that’s missing. It says to drizzle the nachos with creme, but it’s not listed in the ingredients. The first picture also shows something that looks like queso being spooned over the chips. Can you help?
